Are there any artificial ingredients? 

Bayou Gotham^® Hot Sauces are made from all natural ingredients, and we source the freshest ingredients whenever possible.

To replicate the authentic flavor of a Louisiana bayou boil, our BAYOU BOURRÉ Louisiana Boil sauce lists “Crab Boil Concentrate” as one of its many ingredients. Crab Boil Concentrate contains water, polysorbate 80, extractives of: red pepper, bay, clove, black pepper, thyme, marjoram, artificial spice flavors. How long does your hot sauce last? 
Opened bottles of hot sauces that contain vinegar, chili peppers, and citric acids (such as lemon juice) as key ingredients usually last 3 to 5 years when refrigerated. Unopened bottles could last even longer.

Bayou Gotham® Hot Sauces have additional fruits and veggies inside, so while the vinegar, chili peppers, and citrus will help it keep for awhile, those additional elements will spoil at some point. We highly recommend refrigerating any hot sauce for prolonged enjoyment.

Does BAYOU BOURRÉ Louisiana Boil Hot Sauce contain shellfish? 
No. We’ve captured the “essence of a seafood boil” without using shellfish, nor seafood stock.

Is BAYOU BOURRÉ Louisiana Boil a replacement for Crab Boil? 
No. All Bayou Gotham® Hot Sauces are condiments that should be used as “finishing sauces”. Emptying BAYOU BOURRÉ into a a huge pot of boiling water would be a waste of a delicious sauce that you can put on seafood, poboys, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and wings. You can certainly use it as a cooking ingredient or marinade as well. 

Does RUBY REBELLE Bourbon Cayenne contain alcohol? 
No. Since alcohol evaporates at 172°F (78°C), any sauce or stew that is simmering or boiling evaporates the alcohol. The leftover Bourbon flavor in Ruby Rebelle adds a subtle smokiness taste in it’s profile.
